Welcome

Lindsay Anderson remains a unique figure in British culture. He stands for an attitude to art and life that is committed, personal and socially engaged. He made some of the most remarkable films in the history of the British cinema, and was one of this country's leading theatre directors.

An eloquent and perceptive critic, he edited ‘Sequence’, still widely regarded as the best and most influential film magazine ever published in Britain.

We are the Lindsay Anderson Foundation - friends, colleagues and admirers of Anderson's work. The aim of the Foundation is to promote his memory and to foster the spirit he represents.
